Old San Juan

Bacardi Factory

Departing from your San Juan hotel you will travel in style to  discover five hundred years of Spanish history in the cobblestone streets of Old San Juan.

In this city experience you will see Spanish colonial architecture, art galleries, souvenir stores and wide range of  of restaurants and cafés to entice even the most curious pallet for flavors.

Enjoy sites such as San Cristobal Fortress and San Felipe El Morro Castle only to discover the history behind the three lighthouses that have stood on El Morro’s 6th level since 1846.  Within these walls, you can feel the awesome power this bastion of defense once commanded, and you can bear witness to nearly half a century of military history that began with the Spanish conquistadores and ended with World War II.

After you finish in the city your will travel around the San Juan Bay to the Bacardi Rum Distillery to learn the history of the rum-producing tradition that dates back to the 1600s. A guide will lead you through interactive exhibits  explaining all the rum’s different varieties and blends. The tour ends with a free sample of a Bacardi rum drink or cocktail.
